I dunno, I always found my vortex (the original, banned one) to pull from deep down, always felt like it was cleaning really well, and always pulled loads of crap up even on a clean carpet. Sort of like a tp1 with suction... But Im not a fan of using it as it creaks about and takes ages...

Ive removed it for now, it does seem happier without it! Not worried about filtration either! Its only filthy cos the old bag wasnt properly fitted/fell off with weight. Weve just finished having a major tidy up upstairs, having a quick rolly then gonna run it round on low!
