    I found a u4387 at Goodwill two years ago. It was $8 and I passed it up. I got to thinking about it and went back to get it...and it was gone. I still kick myself hard for that decision! Beautiful machine!

    I had one a couple of years ago...bought it at a thrift store for $10. Unfortunately I sold it and regret it. They're great machines!!!

    Whew! $74!!! I could see $25-$30 at most and that's if it's in great shape both physically and mechanically.

    How easy is it to replace the top bearing on this machine? It's a 1976 Eureka Wild Moss Continental. It's sounding a little dry.

    Everyone always loves on the old metal base Comvertibles, which is fine...I have a couple and love them! But let's see some pics of your plastic base Convertibles! I think they're just as great and am really considering adding some to my collection when funds allow...especially a U4335 or U4127!

    What does it mean if the carbon brushes emit a clicking noise/whine when running? Does every vacuum use a different carbon brush or are they all interchangeable?

    Thanks! I wasn't sure. I saw two almost constant flashes inside the motor and was afraid something was going wrong with it.

    What causes this? Is it normal? I'm seeing some flashing sparks coming from both carbon brushes on my convertible.
