A Very Poorly Written "Article" Regarding The Hoover Vortex

Here's an interesting programme about how the Vortex was designed and marketed.

Oh Some People! Can You Acutually Believe This?!

I was looking for a post motor filter myself, but all the sites I tried were showing it as obsolete. It's supposed to last the lifetime of the cleaner, but I don't think it's washable.

Oh Some People! Can You Acutually Believe This?!

I love my Icon, apart from the colour. Would have liked the black and silver version, but glad to have any Icon as it's a joy to use and very effective. I have one still unused in the box, but it needs a bit of repair to the soleplate. The one I have demonstrated on Youtube also had a broken...

Doubtful of New Panasonic Vacs In The UK

I've never had much to do with Panasonic vacs until I got an Icon, which is an excellent machine. I had been thinking of trying out their basic bagged upright on my channel, because as Chris said, there isn't much choice in bagged uprights at the lower end of the market. I think I will get one...

    BRAND NEW HOOVER junior

Yes it was expensive, but how often does an unused boxed vintage vacuum cleaner appear on Ebay. The tool kit is a bonus too as they can fetch a fair amount on their own. If anyone is wondering if I am going to keep it unused and mint, the answer is no. It will be unboxed and demonstrated on my...

    BRAND NEW HOOVER junior

It was £220, so much less than the original winning bidder.

    BRAND NEW HOOVER junior

Whoever won the Hoover Junior didn't complete the purchase, so it was offered to the next highest bidder. I don't think the next higher bidder wanted it either because it was offered to me. I did want it and should be getting it in a few days.

    What should I buy?

When I want to give my stairs a deep clean, I attach the Sebo power head on my D4 directly to the handle. I also have the mini turbo brush and have had no problems with it, though it does increase the noise level.

    Goblin vacuum cleaners at Asda

New upright added to the line There is a new Goblin branded upright now available at Asda priced at £40 at the moment, but that is a promotional price and will probably go up. Has taken some design stylings from the Hoover Globe, but is single cyclonic and is a lot lighter and smaller judging...

    What Hoover vacuums are rare?

I had the Sensotronic with the palm tree. It was white and mink and said Tropic on the tool storage cover under the palm tree. It does feature in one of my vintage videos that I have yet to upload. I think it was a Currys exclusive model.

    New Sebo X4 Pet Boost

I will probably get one then, as I don't get along with the auto height adjust models. Like Nar said, I don't know why Sebo don't re-introduce a manual height control model but update it with new colours rather than the traditional commercial grey colour.

The Remington Vic Vac is from 1986.

    A Novel 'Concept' in Cleaning

We got two Concept One models in the UK, one with Powerdrive and one without. I had the non Powerdrive version from brand new and managed to get a second hand Powerdrive model years later. Sadly I don't own either of them any more, but they were excellent cleaners.

    Sanitaire shake out bags

I would vacuum the bag from the inside. I had a Hoover Powerplus upright with a shake out bag and a dustcup at the bottom that needed regular cleaning to maintain the suction. I used a suction cleaner with a furniture nozzle to clean the main area and a crevice tool to remove the dust in the...

    HOOVER Purepower 700W

There is an Enigma/Purepower model with a claimed AAAA rating which I hope to buy at some point and make a video comparison with my high wattage Purepower. It will be interesting to see if Hoover have made any changes to the brushroll to achieve a higher pick up rating.

i think ibaisaic should put some of these on his channel

Ibaisiac has all The Secret Life Of Machines programmes, but he won't put them on his channel because they are on Youtube elsewhere.

    The YouTube sensation ibaisaic

Coming soon on ibaisaic To to round off this thread, I have had a few people saying to me that they hope I won't leave Vacuumland or stop making videos for my channel. Well to put their minds at rest, here's a few photos of some of the vacuum cleaners that will be featured on ibaisaic in the...

    Got a new Floormate!

Bissell produced a model called the Flip It, but it didn't have any rotating brushes. I had the first Hoover Floormate we got in the UK in the late 90s/early 2000s and have owned most of the subseqent Vax versions with the cordless model being my favourite to date.

Water Filtration Bissell Pro-heat All Rounder

I agree with Mac's findings on the Bissell, though my pre motor filter did have some dust on it, but that was after my bag of filth demonstration. I expect during regular use the filter will stay pretty clean. The on board heater is very effective and the solution that sprays out of the cleaner...
