    This is May 1 and the start of festivities for the Indianapolis 500. Electrolux sponsored Mario and Michael Andretti from 1983 to 1985. Here are some pictures from those days.

    Kevin, The only series that had a problem in the Super J was the K_S series. I just stated that the machine in the picture was a K_P series but was not involved in any problem. The K_N series was not involved in any problem.

    Rugsucker, the very first Discovery ll did not have the hookup for sidekick. It came later on.

    Kevin, the only direct connect hose for uprights were the 4000 and 6000, all the rest had pigtail or strap on cord. The first series upright had just standard hoses .

    The halo you said was on the LXI I do not recall ever seeing. You would either buy the cordreel or not have anyway to wind the cord up. Then the E came out and the Halo. It might have been put on by sales people but not the company. I am just going by memories from 58 years ago.
