    Filter Cleaning

I usually steer away from bagless vacuums since I feel that its easier just to swap in a bag when the old one is full. I do own a couple of bagless vacuums, but they don't see any regular use. the ones in question are my Fantom Cyclone XT and my Vax X5, both are in relatively good condition and...

    Hoover Handivacs

I have a red Handivac I and a Wards Jiffy Vac that's a rebadged Handivac. the Wards sees almost daily use around the house in the kitchen and usually following behind our toddler since she's about like a Tornado sometimes. My wife likes the Wards over her old Bissell Featherweight that we had in...

What the best/your favorite "mainstream" vaccums and brands?

I actually like Hoover's latest offerings especially the Windtunnel Max Bagged, I've been eyeing one for a bit at my ACE Hardware and I'm tempted to go get it. I've also know people that have bought some of their newer bagless uprights and they seem to like them. I do like the Kenmore Canisters...

    Hoover self-propelled WindTunnel u64xx

I have two! One SP Windtunnel Premium and One TurboPOWER 7500. I use the Premium quite regularly while the TurboPOWER needs some TLC.

Does anyone own one of these Premiers?

My grandparents had one of these, but I think theirs might have been a GE. They used it at their flea market booth since they had put carpet down in it and after they got out of doing that they brought it home in addition the the Hoover 61, Wards F&G and the Hoover Silmline they had out there...

My Eureka Whirlwind Lite with an Identity Crisis!

In all honesty this was pieced together from a Eureka Whirlwind Lite, a Maroon Whirlwind and an eBay found bag door from a Victory Boss. I'm overall pleased with how it turned out and I cant wait to get the new brush roll in to try it out since that was the one piece I didn't have between the...

    Anymore info on CWP brushrolls?

I installed a CWP Brushroll into my Hoover Elite 350 to replace the single row brush it had. That alone improved that vacuum and they are really well built. I have one on the way for my 1999 SP Windtunnel to replace its original brushroll.

    Show me your Windtunnels!

Here’s my two! The TurboPOWER 7500 I picked up off of Craigslist for $30 and I’ve got a Self Propelled Windtunnel that my coworker gave me. The actuator arm on the green Windtunnel was broken and missing all the tools. The TurboPOWER was complete and in great working condition. I used to pass on...

    Vax X5

This was something I bought a few years ago on eBay. I had never seen one of these before then. I’ve seen the Bosch and Dirt Devil version, but not these. About when did they sell these? Was there any difference between it and the X3 other than the color?

    Hoover Elite 350 U4533-900

After getting rid of the two Hoover Runabouts I’ve had over the years, I decided it was time to get another soft bag Elite. I found this gem on eBay and it’s only issue is the lower cord hook is broke off. The brush roll wasn’t in very good shape as far as missing some bristles in spots so I...

My small collection of Kenmore Canisters

It seems as of late I really enjoy picking up Kenmore Canisters! The Premier cleaned up really nice compared to how it was when I found it. The Whispertone EVPC still sees regular use in my home. The 200 Series is the only one of the group I bought brand new and I quite enjoy using it from time...

Another Hoover off of my list!!!

I got this Hoover Dimension 1000 S3491 about a month ago off of Facebook Marketplace for $35. It’s in pretty good shape other than the power nozzle is very noisy but I believe that to be the power nozzle motor or the brushroll bearings. It still cleans fabulously and the brush strips on the...

    Kenmore Magic Blue

I bought this on eBay a few months back and finally got around to messing with it. I’ve always wanted one, but always passed them up the few times the opportunity presented itself due to the ones I’ve seen being pretty beaten up. I seen this one was in good shape and had most of the attachments...

Does your family or friends ever use your vacuums?

My wife uses my Riccar Vibrance Classic once a week. She doesn’t like canister vacuums, so generally she leaves my power teams alone.

    Some of my Kenmore Power-teams!

Fan-of-fans! I bought the Cen-Tec to use the wands with my Tri-Star with a Panasonic nozzle I bought. I intended to put the Cen-Tec nozzle with the Whispertone since it didn’t have the powermate.

    Some of my Kenmore Power-teams!

I’ve been on a Kenmore kick lately. My most recent patient is my Kenmore Premier that I found at Goodwill for about $3. It was absolutely filthy when I got it and it’s motor sounded like a squealing pig, but after I addressed that it cleaned up really nicely! Next is my Kenmore Whispertone EVPC...

I’m back and with a new vacuum!

@mark40511 This does use the Kenmore C/Q bags like the older Progressives and Whispertones use. It seems to have a okay seal but we will see as time progresses. I use the HEPA Cloth Bags with mine and it does a good job of keeping dust out of the bag compartment.

I’m back and with a new vacuum!

It’s been a while since I posted between starting a family and my obligations at my previous job, but I’m back with a new vacuum I bought a few months ago! This was from my local Sears Hometown Store and it was the display model at said store that I purchased for about $140. I’m really liking...

Kenmore vacuums now sold on Walmart.com

I wish I would have held off on buying my Kenmore 200 Series. I like the looks of that blue one on Walmart.com, but at buying mine as a display model for $110 at my Sears Home Store I felt like that was a good deal.
