    Late 80's Numatic

And clean again! Treated the cleaner to a bath, and removed his second face! The plastic came up nicely after a buff with car wax, and he once again has a glossy hat. Inside- early filters were made of a red, felt-like material. This has a more substantial feel to it than later filter...

    Late 80's Numatic

Under the hood.. Lots of fine dust! On closer inspection this seemed to be mostly building dust from house renovation. I suspect a fair amount of it could also be from its days of commercial use, where more fine dust would be picked up in greater quantities. These cleaners have a large cloth...

    Late 80's Numatic

Hi all, quite new around here, so thought it was time for me to contribute something! This Numatic vacuum has been owned by my nan as far back as I remember..it started life as a contract machine used in a hospital where she worked at the time, and has now been in regular use for at least 20...

    EIO Varia

Al thanks for the welcome :) hoping to put up pics of my few machines when i get round to it. Agree with you on the bag capacity of these EIO/Morphy Richards cleaners- I'd rather save up a bit more and go for a Miele myself. Bill, it's a shame bags and filters are no longer available in the...

    EIO Varia

EIO Hi Bill, new around here, thought I could add some UK perspective! I remember seeing the EIO cylinder/canisters on Allergy Buyer's Club a few years back, have to say $699 seems expensive! If I recall though they did have added features such as a power nozzle, which are rare in Europe...

    xtreme limited numatic

how cool, a personalised Numatic! What do you think of them generally to use? I have two Henrys, and love them, found them separately thrown out as rubbish.

Hi Simon, great find and price! Can i ask which part of Bournemouth you visited? I live in Bournemouth during term times, and love charity shop and vacuum shopping. I did go in one furniture and electricals charity shop in Winton..only a filthy old Panasonic for £15 there though! Rob

    My Dysons

DC02/Fantom Hi everyone, Nice Dyson collection Shanon! I have a silver/yellow DC04 at home. Always on the look out for them thrown out though! I like the look of the DC18, how is it to use compared to regular wheeled uprights? Regarding the DC02 and Fantom Lightening, I believe Fantom...

    Electrolux pics please.

Cheers for the prices I've never used a Hoover Turbopower or Turbomaster, from what I've heard they are great upright cleaners. Lux had a definate advantage with the tools though for above the floor cleaning!

    Electrolux pics please.

600 series any other fans of the good old 600 series?! From what I've heard they were quite unreliable and hard to push...my mum had one for about 9 years until 1995, replaced by a Sebo X1 we still have lol. Would love to get one sometime to see what they are like again, i liked it back then...

    Hoover one touch.

Filters Hi James, Did you remove the post motor filter at all? I know they can clog quite badly, if its still in place it might be restricting the air movement and making the motor run too hot. Hope that possibly helps! Rob

I'd love to have one of these ...

Numatics Great vacs, you see them everywhere here in England lol.. schools, shops, offices, car washes etc Think they are so popular because they are cheap and durable, and have cute faces! Friend gave me a Henry from the rubbish tip, which must have been a builders vac, 1994 model. The motor...

    Monster Vac!

Hi everyone, I never normally post anything, but this youtube clip caught my eye, from the VDTA convention. Just wondering if anyone has ever seen one of these vacuums before, or knows who makes them? Seems quite strange to me, I'd guess it's a commercial unit due to the orange cord, but...

    Rebuilt Hoover Junior?

Hi everyone, Just found a vac listed under the vintage category on ebay (see link) Just wondering, has anyone ever seen one of these before? I'm curious about it, I think there were companies in the UK that rebuilt popular cleaners like the Hoover Juniors and then sold them on (it's all a bit...

    What does this knob do??

550 Manual 5 Page 5 Just as a side note, did American Electroluxes ever come with the 'butterfly tool'- the small nozzle, dusting brush combo thing? I always thought it was a great idea, stopped being made around early 90s here tho.
