@Gottahaveahoover I believe someone did retract some bids. Bidding is now sitting at $540 with a day and 21 hours remaining.

It certainly did get a workout, but whoever had it took decent care of it. It still runs good, and it has newer looking brush strips on the roller. The only downside is that someone didn't notice a tear in the paper bag and ran it like that for a while. So the bag had to get a good cleaning.

So on a hunch, I decided to stop by my local Habitat ReStore. While there, I spotted this Convertible U4001 for $5. Of course, it followed me home.

I have ran a LED bulb in a couple of Convertibles with no issue. I'll see if I can find the bulb on their web page. It's at Menards. It was a Feit Electric bayonet LED bulb. When installed, you couldn't tell the difference between a incandescent and the LED.

If it works and prolongs it's life, I see no issue with it. The Concept was always a great cleaner. One of my favorites.

It's surprising until you look a little further. At least on my end, it's saying $120 for the vacuum. Then the shipping costs an additional $140 on top of that. It's probably still a good deal either way for a Bison.

VacuumDevil... THANK YOU for the clarification! I had not heard about Electrolux themselves pulling out of the US vacuum market. I did not mean to infer that you said they (Aerus) was going out of business, but I thought I heard you say that they were on shakier ground, which would have been...

@kirbyg6 I think Kirby's biggest problem right now is ease of use with people who frequently use attachments. Even though it is an excellent deep cleaner, they are going to have to either deviate from the (now) 30 year old G series platform, or make an extensive modification to it.

Well I have had dozens of vacuums over the years and had a small collection at one point. (I had to cut down due to room). And I am straight. So, if anyone is looking for the straight vacuum collector/enthusiast, here's one!

Some Thoughts... @dysonman Prior to watching the video, I haven't heard of Aerus struggling either. It was news to me. Glad to hear they are at least selling well for you. Between an Aerus and the trainwreck that is modern Tacony, I'll take the Aerus all day long. @rainbowd4c I completely...

I was watching Performance Reviews the other day, and he was playing around with the rebranded TTI lightweight upright. He made mention that there was stuff going on with Aerus lately, like they were on shaky ground, but I can't seem to find anything. So is there things going on with Aerus?
