    Dc07

It has so far! I’m using Beko 1987’s video to guide me along!

    Dc07

Well I ended up with two Dyson dc07 all floors, not many would dream of this. Long story short, I ended up with two as I believed that the first seller was not going to ship my order. The second one is in better condition and the owner claimed that it “lost its suction over the years.” This dc07...

    Dyson dc07

The older Dyson are also easier to work on! I had the pleasure of working on a dc40, the wire that gives power to the motor head broke. That model never went back together very well, and the replacement wire only lasted 6 months.

Hi Looking to Purchase a New Vac

That Prolux was sold under the Kenmore name years ago, they sold them for about $60 at Kmart! The Kenmore has a very short hose. If you have a vacuum store near you, they might be able to find you something of quality that is in your budget. Vacuum stores usually have some refurbished premium...

Look what I ordered off ebay today!

Now seems to be the time to buy Kirby’s on eBay, there are several at a good price. For a while, there was nothing under $250. I toyed with getting another but I think two are enough for me.

Hi Looking to Purchase a New Vac

Unfortunately, you are looking for something that does not exist that is of good quality. There are no quality uprights that store the turbo tool on board. Given the current state of the vacuum market your best bet would be a canister, but I have two upright suggestions. The Sebo Felix and the...

    New member intro

Welcome aboard, Sebo makes some of the best vacuums! People are in shock if I tell them that I paid $800 for a vacuum, but they will buy the $300 Dyson or Shark every few years. Shark and Dyson are based upon planned obsolescence. The premium vacuum brands can often have a 30 year life span. I...

    Sebo X4 Hard to Push

The light works, but it is difficult to fake a clog. The machine is 8 months old, so I would not expect any major issues.

    Sebo X4 Hard to Push

No the bag light did not come on, but the base did seam slightly warmer than usual.

    Dyson dc07

Well I’ll make a condensed comment on all your replies. I never would have thought that they have a Panasonic motor, they’ve proven reliable. I purchased it from eBay for $65, and told the seller to pack very well, as they can be brittle. I examined the pictures carefully, my uncle still uses...

    Sebo X4 Hard to Push

The first time I used the Duo power for several rooms, I used the x4 with a relatively full bag and trashed it. I think that the Duo power clogs the bag way more than dust.

    Dyson dc07

Well I’m not really a Dyson fan, but I absolutely love the quirks of the dc07. I just bought one at a good price in descent condition. I am going to automatically replace the filters, any other suggestions? I was going to order the clutch but I think I’ll see if it needs one. The dc07 seems to...

    Sebo X4 Hard to Push

I have a solution! Before calling Sebo I wanted to try something simple, changing the bag. The bag was not full, but I forgot that I had been picking up the Duo powder from several spots that I cleaned. The Duo powder had the top of the bag caked and clogged, therefore reducing the suction and...

    Sebo X4 Hard to Push

My X4 has suddenly become hard to push, not sure if my brush is bad or a problem with the height system. My X4 is 8 months old, I don’t see how the brush (blue) could be bad. I just used it, and it was very difficult to push, I also noticed that the base was hotter than normal, my bag is not...

Main Equivalency! Which one would you take?

Indeed, I believe Rainbow is the only corded vacuum with a brushless motor currently sold. Brushless definitely has its advantages in longevity.

Main Equivalency! Which one would you take?

I like Kirby, but I only use them when I want to clean thoroughly. You can’t get much better than a Sebo or Lindhaus. I look for quality in a vacuum and most of the options do not fit the criteria. I have been disappointed with every cordless vacuum, so I’m sticking with the corded models.

    Door to door sales. Sleazy?

Unfortunately, these days are over. I think that I would modernize the practice of in home demos if I had a vacuum store. It would be nice if Miele, Sebo, or Lindhaus dealers would offer in home demos. The best place to try a new vacuum is indeed your own home, as Charlie McKee said.

Best small non-natural fiber dusting attachment?

I would say that Dyson makes the best synthetic dusting brushes, way better than Miele’s synthetic brush!

    Riccar R27CV Clean Air Cordless

Cordless vacuums always seem to disappoint me. I have had my V8 for 6 years and it is decent for carpet, floors, and stairs. The V8 is awful in the car, it never seems to pick everything up. I have decided to renew my V8 a bit and get some new filters, the battery is still ok. I love a pristine...

Riccar no longer say “made in the us with globally outsourced components”

After viewing a few of the new Instagram adds for Riccar, as they are advertising their new r27 as a luxury. I went on the Riccar website to see what their current lineup is and the pricing. I looked at the reviews for the now $1,899 Tandom Air, and the photos showed that the model plate no...
