June 4th...the birthday of TWO Hoover legends

Happy birthday John. The 60s were a fabulous time to be alive.

    The pumpkins have landed.

Your constellation is gorgeous and in such nice shape. My friend Adam has the same constellation in his collection. I am trying to get all three machines together for a photo shoot.

    Filterqueen Majestic

Over the years, the door to door sales method has declined to the point in America today where it is nearly nonexistent. As a company,Filter Queen doesn’t do much volume in America as opposed to countries such as Japan, where they are going, great gangbusters, along with their defender air...

    The pumpkins have landed.

A portapower hose fits the Dial. I have a plastic hose from a P. power that’s about 7 or 8 feet long. I enjoy using it with the dial because I can reach farther up a wall when I’m dusting.

Thank you, John Gregory. I love my Hoover 1178.

Now that I have retired, the best of my convertible collection has come home, and I plan to make YouTube videos. Who knew you could supplement your Social Security by making money from people who watch your movies of your vacuum cleaners?

    The pumpkins have landed.

My 1100 is my favorite. John Gregory sent me the brand new set of attachments. I feel just like Samantha every time I use it.

Make Every Home A Hoover Home. I couldn’t decide which vintage Hoover to use, so I decided to use them both.

Thank you, John Gregory. I love my Hoover 1178.

A huge thank you to my dear friend,John Gregory from Pennsylvania for the spec sheets on my beloved, near perfect Hoover self-propelled model 1178 from late in the run in 1974. Mine has the up-to-the-minute 900 W motor, giving it all the extra suction power a near-perfect upright vacuum cleaner...

    Visit to Hooverland

ozhoover What I meant was that there are well known vacuum collectors who do not 'show' their machines to anyone. It's their choice, of course. I know of one specific collector who buys (and has bought) hundreds of vintage vacuums and does in fact have a 'silo' (he built a six car garage just...

Why yes, I am grateful to have John Gregory. The ultimate Hoover guru. He actually sells Hoovers and repairs Hoovers. So glad he actually does something with them. Don’t you just hate it when people stow them away and they never see the light of day again? So happy that John Gregory shares with...

    A HOOVER home

The famed HOOVER (hoovrah) cleaners have a place in the modern home. Even The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel loved mine. The second to the last episode features my HOOVER prominently. What would we do without pictures? Two more of my "Mid Century Modern" machines will be on TV during the next season.

    Final year-vac store clean out

Jimmy Hope your shop clean out is going well. It's quite difficult to rehome a lifetime's collection. I've been to your shop (more than once) and you were kind enough to send me home with things I've had for at least 25 years now. Things that completed machines in my collection. Thank you...

    Visit to Hooverland

I’m going to be sending this beautiful lime green Hoover quick broom to my good friend John Gregory. Thank goodness he is not a Hoover snob, I know how much he also likes Sanitaire. The genuine GE RollEasy bags for a different friend who asked for them. They were just in the picture. Pictures...

    Hoover Windtunnel 2

The electronics in the Windtunnel II were terrible. I gave away a brand new one, used only once, where the electronics failed and the filter failed to turn. I don't know if Ryan ever did anything with it.

    Final year-vac store clean out

Jimmy: I'm going through the same thing you are with wanting to retire and close the store. Most of my machines were already restored, so they had to sell on eBay since they went for more than just parts machines. Can't wait to get out of the vacuum business, I've been fixing filthy sweepers...

    When was this Eureka released?

That model launched with the Excalibur line. The green top-of-the-line model was sold in Vac Shops. They used EX bags if I'm not mistaken.
