    New computers for my parents

Applications Joe, My parents use a computer for basic Internet surfing so that would be a web browser. I do not think they would want to run GarageBand, iPhoto, iMovie, Skype, Adobe CS or any programs like that. They just basically need a computer for Internet surfing and what have you...

    New computers for my parents

Bad logic board Yes I am aware of the bad logic boards these white machines suffer from, but I think if they hardly use them, I think they should last quite sometime. I can testify to this as my school has a lot of the white 17" 1.83 GHz models that are running fine, They are iMac5,2. I wanted...

    How much

Juniorsenior and bojacked To answer your question bojacked bassiclly means that a machine has been fitted with the wrong parts in order to get it to be sellable. I've come across several Kirby's that were/are like this. Some parts you can find, others you can't.

    How much

It's a pass As Brandon W_T said i'd be easily $125 in parts just to make it right. I'd rather spend that or less on a beat up one and then spend the money to make it right. -Jayson

    Considering

sending in my G4 and G5 for a factory rebuild, but is it worth it? I know I'll need to keep some NOS parts on hand to make the rebuild original like on the older machines that'd i'd send in too. -Jayson
