DC25 keeps spitting out the exhaust filter?

Yeah sure it makes sense! I was just surprised to see that happen. However many vacuum cleaners I've laid my hands on I have never seen anything like that. What surprised me specifically was the fact that it seemed to all work okay before I washed them. Perhaps it was actually filled with some...

DC25 keeps spitting out the exhaust filter?

Hey lads! I've recently refurbished my friends Dyson DC25. She got it off eBay for 20 quid, it was in a pretty mint condition, just very dusty. A bit of elbow grease, spit and polish and it looks like brand new, me myself was impressed. I gave both the pre and post (or A and B) motor filters a...

    The PIGG has arrived.

I'm not really sure how easy this would be to find spare parts for this machine in the US. I bet far harder than in Poland ha! Only good thing about Zelmer is the low price and extreme availability of spare parts. I'm not home till later this year but I'll keep you in mind and have a look...

    The PIGG has arrived.

So I found the manual in english for you guys for the 3 in 1 version. They're so similar, as far as I remember the pump button used to just be blanked out on the Duo version (which on yours I think is a suction control). And also the clear water reservoir was changed to a tool storage.

    The PIGG has arrived.

Nope! No separator there, unless you could call a sponge filter a separator. I think they must be a Zelmer design cause even all the tools look exactly like all the tools Zelmer does for all its other cleaners (Polish pal here btw, I know this company in and out lol). They used to be called...

Dyson motorheads - what's the difference?

Hi guys, I've recently been on a research quest that has left me full of questions and little answers. So I have a V7. I'm considering getting extra motorheads for it (e.g. the small one or the soft roller). I realise that whatever accessory I'm getting it'll need to be the one with the red...

    goodbye DC11!

Oh worry not guys - I only took it on a credit cause I wanted to up my credit rating before autumn (my current phone contract runs out and I want to make sure to get a new one). Thankfully Argos here in the UK does this thing when you can buy something now and pay 6 months later - and I already...

    goodbye DC11!

And it's time for me and our little flat to say goodbye to the previous workhorse - the DC11. I brought it with me all the way from Poland (hence the EU plug). Got it for like 5 pounds on a market. Cleaned it up inside and out, got a new set of attachments, a new hose and some new filters. It...

    goodbye DC11!

Hi guys! Guess what I just bought and definitely cannot afford. You got it, a new Dyson. I've had such stressful past few months trying to balance two part time jobs with a degree, I thought I deserve a little mood pick me up. Also, I'm about to graduate - what better gift to get? Or that's...

    Dyson evolution - timeline?

Hi guys! Hope you lot are well. Something that's been on my mind a lot lately (probably cause V6 is on offer in Argos and I'm tempted to spend the remnants of my student loan on it) and was wondering if any of you knows if this is a thing: Is there anywhere online a Dyson timeline? I'd be so...

    RE: Funnynet1231

This is so true and I think very much relatable to all consumer goods. It's definitely changing and we will reach a point one day when it all collapses cause how long can we go on for? It is all greed and consumerism. After all, the first lightbulbs sold had no intended obsolesce time. I...

Hoover U1104 and 1146 looking for a new home for free

Hey guys! I'm writing here asking for help in some way. My mum managed to sold our house and we need to clear it out. I've lived away for years now and completely forgot that there's two vintage Hoovers hiding away in my family home. I'm talking about U1104 and the blue 1146. Some of you...

    Water filtration DYSON prototype?

dysonman1, that sounds amazing! do you think there's any chance I'd be able to see some of those pics? for some reason I'm just so excited by any vacuum that does water, especially dyson. Would love to see them!

    Water filtration DYSON prototype?

Hey guys! I bet this is a long shot but - ages, ages, ages ago I read somewhere that one of the first Dyson prototypes involved water filtration. I even remember seeing a 'soon to be' model that kinda resembled the 90s Big Green Machine, but it had a clear bucket. It must have been years ago...

    White scratche marks on vacuums

Surprisingly, what I've used recently to refurb the base of a few vacuums I got my hands on was headlight polish paste. My mum got her hands on some somehow, it's a bit like Cif, but instead of scrubbing and scratching as such it's meant to polish. It's got some potent chemicals in it too, but...

    I now have all 4 dyson DC01's!!

Fair does Repair, as much as I love Rainbow, I think marketing here is the majorly differing issue. I have no clue what's it like on the other side of the pond however in Europe Dyson was most definitely the first bagless vacuum, at least advertised as much. Rainbow's been strong since the...

Why No Love For Sanyo Vacuums

That germ killing thing was I think mostly present in the Karcher's TSC555. My mum used to work at Karcher in the late 90s and they were still available in Poland, I remember seeing it in one of the catalogs describing its magical powers. Ibaisaic has a really cool video on it and in the end you...

DYSON DC11 cyclone disassembly struggle - help me please

All done! stay tuned for some photos once I'm done with it. I need to get the hose and all the attachments. I've got the telescopic tube, but the hose attached to it was cut in half... for some reason unknown to me. But I'll do that once I get back to London, currently back home in Poland...

DYSON DC11 cyclone disassembly struggle - help me please

I mean the marked bit - I want to take the grid off and clean under it - is the rubber band glued to both pieces or is it just magically twisted together?
