    Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Has anyone found it strange that... Nobody has gotten Coronavirus at Lowe’s, Walmart, or Home Depot? It would be a national story because you know some whack job would attempt to litigate against one of these companies if they even remotely suspected that they became infected in one of those...

Covid-19: Are your local vac shops open?

What details are you trying to glean from our experience? If you have “inside info” I’m sure a lowly two location store owner like myself wouldn’t offer anything of value. As for why I feel like you are a waste of time- nothing you have said on this thread offers any real insight or...

Covid-19: Are your local vac shops open?

While I’m sure you have great “inside info” after reading your other post comments, I’m not really sure anyone in their right mind would be utilizing their time resources wisely to listen to anything you have to say.

Covid-19: Are your local vac shops open?

Interesting outlook Greg. How many successful retail stores have you owned? Success being defined as still being open...We see a consistent 15-20% increase annually.

Covid-19: Are your local vac shops open?

Both of my stores have remained opened the entire time. I pulled the hours back slightly when it started just in case things got sketchy financially. No employees were laid off and I did not obtain any of the loan money from the SBA. In all honesty, everyone seems to enjoy the new hours. We...

Working in a vacuum sales and service store.

By the way... Good help is always hard to find. We are continuously growing and expanding. If any of you vacuum fanatics are looking to move to beautiful SC, GA, or NC, we may have a location in the future for you to manage :-). Drop me a line if you’re ever interested in being a managing partner.

Working in a vacuum sales and service store.

If you do it right, it can be a highly sustainable business. The outdated store model from years ago isn’t sustainable or what people are looking for today. Junking up a store with used vacuums is the biggest mistake I see. In terms of repairs, both of my locations repair lamps, sewing machines...

    Kirby Supervac Commercial

I haven't posted in here in years- good to see this forum is still alive. Those who know me know that we have two very busy stores now, so I don't get time to play online. This did come across our storage warehouse and I figured I'd ask here if anyone were interested before we list on eBay. Let...

    Aerus Home Wellness Consultant position

Direct sales... is a great business to be in as long as you are able to door knock and do your thing. When it boils down, you are still a door-to-door vacuum salesman. While your "distributor" may promise thousands of dollars per month, you must sell like crazy to be able to make that much...

Well, I think I'm going to buy a new Tacony Vacuum

$269 is a great price on the red vibrance. With prices that low, you could probably talk the dealer down to $399 on the Silver Vibrance Premium Belt protector....worth a shot, usually dealers with prices that low aren't selling in droves.

    Has anyone got/had a cleaner/maid

Isn't that a little bit odd for someone that collects va I do collect, I've amassed quite a nice vintage collection over the last couple of years. I enjoy looking at them and restoring them. The best part of vacuums is selling them, in fact, I wish there were collectors close to me- we are...

    Has anyone got/had a cleaner/maid

Roomba does a good job in between cleaning visits. I have a longtime friend that is in charge of keeping my home clean. Used to have a yard service, but decided to make working in the yard my hobby and it has been great! I tell people daily, I can sell clean all day long, but when it comes...

what are the best selling vacuums?

Cute post.... It is interesting to see what you guys conceptualize as the best selling vacuum. There are a number of us on here that own stores (we have recently returned) and the numbers and statistics are all over the board. I can tell you that at VDTA this year, Dyson has touted a 28%...
