Very interesting reading the posts, my new ZA65 arrived and stoked at the condition. When i unpacked it it had a later model grey rubber electrolux crevice tool so i looked at the instruction book and it's the real thing, they must have dropped the red plastic crevice tool with radiator brush...

The Za65's were beautiful machines. many of them still around here in NZ. A testimonal to a quality product that looks great too!

I've never found it a cheap hobby but a most enjoyable one! I love ressurecting the dead and working on the vacuums to look close as new as possible. Parts seem cheap enough it's the freight to NZ thats a killer! Last purchase from the states - 1 sponge filter $2.75, freight $19.95.....mike

Found today on a NZ trading site this National Jetflo Upright in great order! I remember these machines in the 80's when in my teens along with the Hitachi CV50D. Curious of others opinions on the National uprights. Think I might bid on it, i'm sure i'll find room for this baby somewhere...

I can see how the name plate seems weird although Hitachi and National brands were the same. GE appliances were a mixed bag in OZ and NZ. Most small appliances such as mixers, hairdryers etc were made in Japan. Some of the vacs such as the swiveltop, larger appliances - fridges, washing...
