5 kg are 11 pounds (lbs). Shipping from Germany to the States would cost 45 dollars with a package up to 11 pounds. If it's heavier than that, it's something like 60 dollars. Propably not worth it for you in the end. But at least you don't have to pay horrendous import taxes, like us Germans do...
