    ElectroGirl's First Eureka

Alan, In reference to your earlier posting here, I urge you to walk... no run...to your local thrift and pick up that yellow Eureka that looks like this one. You will be more than happy with it, and then we will also have two matching vacuums, the brown Hoover and the yellow Eureka!

    ElectroGirl's First Eureka

I think what he gave me was whatever he found with the vacuum in his house. When he moved in with his partner, he said this was left behind, and they did not use it. So I suspect if there was a hand vac, the owner of the house either took it or tossed it out. He did seem pretty determined to...

    ElectroGirl's First Eureka

Gifted Hi Charles, I discovered and added the term "gifted" to my vocabulary from this site. I noticed that when folks received vacuums, etc from others here they referred to it as..."Bob gifted me this lovely Hoover today." I think it sounds kind of sweet, and have adopted it myself.

    ElectroGirl's First Eureka

After swearing to myself I would only concentrate on Electrolux and Hoover in my collecting, I am now the proud owner of a Eureka canister vacuum. If you have read my portable dishwasher post here, you will know this was gifted to me by the fellow I purchased the dishwasher from. It works...

Do they still sell Constellation filter pads?

My Connie has what must have been a white bed sheet or possibly part of a pillowcase as a filter. When I got it, I wondered why it was there, I almost took it off and threw it away, but figured it was there for a reason.

    Vacuum Storage...What to do?

Thanks for the advice... Well Mark, that is wonderful advice, but unfortunately that would leave me with a huge pile of vacuum rubble as I am not one bit as creative as you in creating vacuum Robots...;) Actually my friend Steve is still nagging me about creating some kind of vacu-bot. But I...

Hello All, First off, I hope everyone had a pleasant and joyous Thanksgiving. I know I did. I spent it with very close friends and had a wonderful dinner and relaxing after dinner conversations. Ok, I just fell out of my chair....

Beautiful It is a beautiful Connie. Whoever purchased it is a lucky person indeed. I forgot how complete it was with the box for the vac and the box for the tools as well! I guess I still get shocked sometimes by the prices I see on eBay. But, I would also rather have that than any new Connie.
