Turbopower means BAGS MORE cleaning power

Clogged cleaners Hi Guy's, I can relate to the clogged machines, and this is an all too common thing, and why so many machines suffer a premature demise. When you have collected as I have, most of my machines coming from the local coucil tips, and car boot sales e.t.c., then you get used to...

    Pumpkin/Brown and Pink/White Hoovers

U1012. Guy's, Surely the unique one of the bunch, rare though the model 14 is, is the U1012 in dark brown and coffee colours presently residing in Dover? LOL, I wish I had something as unique as this one. I do have a U1104 Turbo Junior which came from Germany. It is very simlar to the last...

    Pumpkin/Brown and Pink/White Hoovers

Pumpkin Junior, Walter, Yes, the 1346 was produced originally with a Pumpkin belt cover. 1967 models only I think as this quickly was changed to the deep seal greige, I have an early (Feb 1968 IIRC) 1346 with the deep seal greige panel, but it retains the 1334 bag collar! I have outlined...

    My new Hoover 912

Convertible! Hi Tommy, Thank you for your reply. I think that any would be wonderful as an exchange, personally I don't mind, but think it fairest to look at perhaps one of the cream and brown 82-83 models. I will catch up with you soon as I am at work at the moment. I look forward to being...

    My new Hoover 912

912A Hi Tommy, This is truly one beautiful lady. I have had a 912A for a good many years now, since I started collecting really, about 12 years ago. Yours looks to be an OCTOBER 1975 model. 1 month younger than I am, but it has weathered much much better than I have! :D Mine cost me £3 from...

    Machines You Regret Selling

Hoover UK model 262. Hi all, Years ago, before I started to collect seriously I had a near perfect model 262, which I now know to have been a pre WW2 model. It had the full size metal band around the motor hood, and its original bag, with no holes. I must have been around 16 or 17 at the...

    British Ad with Hoovers

Welcome Jon, Hi Jon, A belated welcome from myself. Glad to see another UK collector here in Vacuumland. It would be great if you could upload pics of your collection to share with us all. Si, The 612 and 638 are essentially the same machine. A new streamlined hood was fitted to make the...

    1334 juniors

Junior History. Howdies guys and gals. SI, The junior range retained the hood shape and the vent slots throughout the 1334 range. When the hood was changed from cast alloy to plastic, the hood vents changed from 2 sets of 3 slats, to 2 sets of 2. The full width flat front cover was...

    1334 juniors

Junior timeline. Hi Si, The first junior to use the belt lifter converter for the tool attachment was indeed the 1334 of 1958 vintage. This machine was produced in Rose and Off White. It took the H1 paper bags, and was the first junior to do so. The outer bag had the clip at the top, as per...

The latest addition to THE CLASSIC HOOVER EMPORIUM, Feb 1979 U4082 Commercial.

PIece of nozzle missing. Hi Jack, I am looking forward to having her clean the house one day soon. The piece missing from the nozzle is as shown below. It is not a large piece, but it is noticeable, fortunately, I think with some body filler, and some time and care, it can be sorted and...

The latest addition to THE CLASSIC HOOVER EMPORIUM, Feb 1979 U4082 Commercial.

Medallion, Hi Swingette, The medallion is not stuck on the machine, the sticky on its rear has worn off and that is why it is missing on a couple of the pictures, the ones with the medallion on were taken last when I realised the medallion had fallen off! LOL Some glue dots sound like a good...

And finally.................... Here is her birth certificate. Feb 1979 from what I can gather, as the commercial range only the 912A in 1969, and the colours scheme was completely different with the 1989 rane, and included the C1300 ranger of Powerplus based commercial uprights.

And another one. Here is the underside. The chassis appears to be the same as the U4002/4014 ranger series.

The latest addition to THE CLASSIC HOOVER EMPORIUM, Feb 1979 U4082 Commercial.

Hi Vacuumland. She has arrived. My U4082, one of the rarest machines on this side of the pond nowadays I think. She aint perfect, but she runs sweet as a nut, and will some TLC and some time, she will look almost like new. Some of the deeper scratches cannot be got out, but are not bad enough...

Hoover find of finds on Hoover day of days!

James. Hi mate, I didn't realise you lived so close. I knew you were around the Derby area, have done for a while, but getting married and moving from Sutton in Ashfield, to Bingham, has taken up a whole lot of my time, and my intentions to make myself known have fallen by the wayside! :D I...
