I was re-arranging my machines this afternoon and thought it would be fun to do a little photo shoot. Not all of them are restored, and there are a few missing (not at home) but you get the picture. Enjoy!

After the dust has settled from my recent acquisition frenzy, I'm finding myself in need of a few original Hoover bags. Does anyone out there have any spares for sale or know of any? I need a bag and appropriate bag hanger for my 543, a bag for my 300, and a bag for my new 450. The 825 could use...

Just to be clear - my Kirbys are *not* up for grabs. I still love them. ;-) I consider my post-war Kirby collection complete, I have all 3 of my favorite models. Now I just need some pre-war Kirbys! Oh, and more Hoovers...

I did see it. And I should be seeing it even closer in a few days. ;-) I bought it this morning, because even though the bag, agitator, and cord are not original, that's still a steal for a 450. The hood looks a bit nicer than mine, I think I'll switch out a few parts to make mine even nicer...

Mothers also does wonders on aluminum, using a combination of fine steel wools, and finally a soft rag.

I never thought the day would come, but I think I may have been unknowingly converted to Hooverism. I expect a gang of angry Kirbys to corner me in the dark recesses of my basement any day now... I've always been a devout Kirby enthusiast, and never paid much attention to other brands. Well...

I have one of his bags and a set of his wheels on my 505 right now. They look pretty close to original.

Chad, thanks again for the Packard, it will look great displayed next to my car at shows! And another thanks for giving me the opportunity to buy this beautiful Hoover 825. I'll post some Hoover photos in another topic soon!

I'm currently using my Kirby 508 as my daily driver, but I occasionally alternate. I'm looking for a Hoover 541 or a 700 at the moment which will be next in rotation. I like keeping my nice machines clean, so I don't use them all for sucking up dirt, but I do run the motors once a month or so.
