Vacuums That Sold Poorly & Died An Early Death

The Bissell Pro Lite didn't seem to stick around to long. It really looked like a failed science project. I think the use of attachments may habe done it in. They looked really awkward.

    80's maybe 90's Eureka

Yes they are very rare. In all my years on Ebay I have never seen one. Whats funny is the Mighty Mightkeeps going. That Floor Show would have been great and maybe still around if Eureka would have just marketed and advertised it a little better.

    80's maybe 90's Eureka

I seem to remember a Eureka from the late 80's to maybe late 90's. It would have been a sibling to the Eureka Mighty Mite. I think it was called a Floor Show. But it wad a Mighty Might with a power nozzle. I remember seeing it in two stores. One wad a Vacuum Store in Saint Joe and the other...

How many US manufacturers are there?

From what I understand. Only one model of Aerus is not made in the US. If I am correct that is the Legacy. My Classic was USA made which was why I went with that model. Aerus website will tell you which models are USA manufactured.

    Panasonic

Thank you all for the responses.  This has been a good thread.  I didn't think anything would happen to Sears Vacuums. That is a huge part of their success.  They are well known for great vacuums.   Rob.  I did not get a e-mail from you.  Unless it went to an email that I can not access...

    Panasonic

Hi Rob   I haven't used anything Kenmore in a long time. But I have always liked their vacuum lines.  I have always liked the late 70's 80's model square style.  I have been trying for years to get a hold of the Sears Very Best from 1978.  The two tone Blue with the wood look and  long...

    Thanksgiving Cleaning!

Family conversation for us is the same every year. Whose dead. Whose dying. Who needs to be shot. The people never really change either.

    Panasonic

I seem to remember a thread not long ago about Panasonic discontinuing vacuum cleaners.  Being that they manufacture for Sears I was just in Sears the other day and saw all new models coming out and the website still have vacuums as well.  I wonder if this fell through.   Any ideas?

    Thanksgiving Cleaning!

I did my fall cleaning at the beginning of November.  Then all I had to do was just a regular cleaning the week of.  I just used my Rainbow and usual suspects of cleaning products.

    Hey Tom Gasko?

We are going to Judsonia Arkansas for New Years so I can see my sister who I have not seen in 30 years.  We are going down 55 and through Saint Louis.  I really want to make a side trip and stop in Saint James at the museum.  How far out do I have to go.  We are leaving that Friday December 30...

    Origin of the term "Bojack"

To me Bojack just sounds like a Redneck Brand of a vacuum. "Introducing the new Bojack. For the backwoods I will just do the bare mininum of housework so I can get back out hunting and fishing person. Guaranteed to get your house somewhat clean." That is the nice version of my pitch. LOL

    Aerus Electrolux Classic

The Central Cleaning System was possible. I was told that it was possible to install a central cleaning system. But I was told that with the layout of my upstairs I would have to put an inlet in every bedroom. I wanted to just put a central inlet in my upstairs hallway but because of the age...

    Aerus Electrolux Classic

I wanted to put a Central Cleaning System in. However when I had people come out to see how it could be done my house is well over 100 years old and I was told that it would be extremely difficult for the second story to be done. They said the main floor would be easy but the second story layout...

    Vacuum Museum 1970's display

A stupid question. Do you have an 80's room or will you be adding anymore decade rooms?

    Aerus Electrolux Classic

I have the... I have the 90th Anniversary Black one as well and I do. I love it!!! What is funny is that Jacob has even been doing more housework lately. He likes using it. What is funny about this is that he always avoided vacuuming because he never liked my Rainbow. When we first met his...

    Aerus Electrolux Classic

I don't really know how to rate the different models. What I will say is that I think it out performs my Rainbow. I don't have any way to compare the two but I feel a huge difference.

    Aerus Electrolux Classic

Last year I bought the Shark Powered True Pet Rotator and ended up sending it back because I didn't like how it handled with the hose and handle. So I have been using my Rainbow. Well I finally made the decision to purchase a brand new Aerus Electrolux Classic. And I love it. With the amount...
