Yeah Although I have never had a problem with any of my 3 Fantom Lightnings I have had, I have heard of lots of people having issues with them, ranging from the power connections to the power head going bad to the swivel neck snapping etc. However, like I said I have never had an issue.

Yeah That's why they are in the storage unit, I don't use them very often. I have a Hoover Platinum Collection Multicyclonic Upright that I use as my daily driver. And Gsheen, the Lightning does a very good job! It is my favorite Fantom.

Wildcat box Sorry, I forgot to post, the Wildcat box is what the Crosswind was sent in when I bought it off ebay. I don't have a Wildcat to go with it, hope to get one though. Its just an empty box.

Yes and no. I heard rumors that they were working on it, but I have never seen one, and didn't know that they actually made them and were selling them! Would love to see one!

I agree with Szymon Try cleaning the Special Edition as well as you can, but dont combine the 2, the Special Edition is less common than the regular Fury. I have always wanted a special edition but never have found one :/

Thats typical Those Euro-Pro Fantoms tended to have electrical problems. I had one that I bought at K-Mart for $159.99. It actually worked very well... until only 7 months after buying it, while vacuuming the headlight got real bright, then real weak, the motor changed pitch, got louder then...

That is not normal I believe that you have a bad seal or something. When I used to use my Lightning as my daily driver, I would of course check the pre-filter after very use, but would be able to go a few months between cleanings because nothing ever was caught in it.

Yeah It does look cool! And it does have nice versatility. However, if I were to get a water filtration vacuum, it would likely be a Rainbow, or if I was getting a bagged one, it would be without a doubt a Miele.

Rotho won... But I wish that they had shown the entire test non stop, because while I doubt its rigged, whenever they say 20 passes, and cut out all that stuff, you cant tell if they really did 20 passes, or if they put more dirt down after vacuuming etc. Again, I doubt they did, but it would...
