I have a Heritage II motor that just stopped on me. I put new brushes in because they were low, but still could not get it to restart. It is 44+ years old. Can you tell me if there is a motor part inside it that just dies and cannot be revived. I had the lifetime $99 replace but Kirby says they most likely could not find the parts to fix it. So, I would pay to ship two ways for nothing. I bought a used motor unit from Ebay and it worked until the fan just fell apart. Plastic too dried out. I am going to get a replacement fan, new brushes, and try to see if it will crank back up. I love my Kirby. Easy to maneuver and great for hard flooring. I never use the carpet brush.
