Nice job restoring your Compact Antoine! Which motor did you use, the Ametek 116311? I always take some rubbing alcohol and remove any scuffs from my daily driver to keep it in good shape and do any minor repairs needed.

That would make sense Antoine. They did change & up the amps on the Ametek motor used in the Compact when they changed the name to TriStar. I currently am running a Hoover Windtunnel Anniversary Edition S3670, and I also have a Miracle Mate Mark 1 that has the original GS Electric motor from 1994. It just got rebuilt with a new cord to replace the cord reel - no point in replacing the cord reel when it's a bad design that would break again, the motor got new carbon brushes, I modified it to use Miele GN/FJM bags since the brown paper bags clog too easily, and I replaced the cloth exhaust filter with a Electrolux Guardian HEPA Filter. The Hoover is also going to get a new motor soon, and I put a different PN on it since the Windtunnel PN is too wide for the 2 rooms with carpet. I also converted it to use Miele Gn/FJM bags as well.
