I go overkill and use a battery powered air blower on the bins/shroud/cyclones of my Animal 3 once a month. That way I never have to take it apart and deal with that mess. Obviously all a bit silly though compared to bagged. I'm wondering if Dyson will leave the upright space soon since...
Assuming you babied the vacuum, didn't go over the max fill line, cleaned out the bin regularly etc. Were the "Cinetic Tips" actually enough to not need a pre-motor filter? I've always been curious, as i've never used one. I've seen videos of abused ones in shops, but was wondering about...
Looks like the hair screw tool and this came out around the same time. Since it's been available on Dysons since 2022. We'd have to check patents and see who came up with it first or something.
So, I have a Ball Animal 3, currently the only upright Dyson still sells, was kind of quietly released a few years ago.
It has in my opinion their best ever carpet/hard floor cleaner head, but the bin/cyclone/pre motor filter is the same exact design from the DC40 all the way back from 2011...

It has two motors, one for the suction and one for the brush roll. The head is removable and can be extended a bit with the hose...
I got one that's almost NOS online for a great price. No box but basically never used. It has two motors, one for the suction and one for the nozzle. The hose has electric connectors on the end that connect to the front. Nozzle can also come off for easier reach of things. The label says...
Thanks for the reply Ben. Wasn't aware of that one either. Dirt Devil definitely has some pretty forgotten products. Some because they were bad (probably anything post TTI) but others were actually quality machines like the Ultra MVP.
Has anyone seen one of these before? I stumbled on a image of it when looking for another Dirt Devil product.
It looks identical to the hand vac plus except for the switch and XL branding.
Is this a real product or some sort of concept art maybe? Found zero info anywhere.
Has anyone ever used one of these? They were some of the last Dirt Devil Vacuums made in the early 2000s before TTI bought Royal. I remember seeing them in commercials as a kid and really wanted one, but like most Dirt Devil products they have completely faded into obscurity. Weirdly you can...
