    Fever dream vac-shop haul

The American Lincoln and Hoover run great, the Bison and Regina are both dead. It would be neat to get the Bison working, but I have no idea where to begin looking for parts.

    Fever dream vac-shop haul

I visted a vac shop this morning after having a dream last night where I cleaned out the back storage room of such a store. It made me remember that I met the owner of this store last year and it was about time I paid him a visit. He let me look thru his back storage building and I almost fell...

Dream machine acquired - Riccar Tandem Air

Just as I thought I gave this vacuum a very thorough test at our beach condo on very dense plush carpet that was completely saturated with sand. In two hours of vacuuming, I filled up a brand new bag, and the second one already had a good bit in it by the time we left. I stand by my assertion...

Dream machine acquired - Riccar Tandem Air

New brushroll I was surprised to see the new brushroll, I was a bit dissapointed at first at it being a two row, but I do think it actually agitates better that my 2005 Synergy which has the three row. The brush strips in the new machine are very stiff.

Dream machine acquired - Riccar Tandem Air

After 13 years of waiting, I finally had the opportunity to purchase a Tandem Air machine brand new, and I couldn't be happier. It deep cleans incredibly well, the metallic blue is beautiful, and the dirt sensor lights are very neat. I've wanted a a Tandem Air ever since I first set foot in my...

    New Kirby model !!

Maybe they call themselves "Right Lane Industries" because they're stuck going 55 in the slow lane when the rest of the industry is going 90 in the left lane with spectacular advancements.

    New Kirby model !!

100 more years The article says "we want to be around for the next hundred years." Why? So we can get to see the Avalir Titanium IV Plus Ultra Final Collectors Edition in some slightly different shade of grey? I agree with Tom. I don't we'll ever see a new Kirby. There will never be another...

Looking for information about Kenmore Elite uprights

I'm considering adding a Kenmore Elite bagged upright to my collection, it looks to be a unique and interesting machine and cleans well from what I've heard. There are two models I'm considering but I can't tell what the difference is. One is readily available on Amazon for $299, but the other...

    Brand new Miele twins!

I always considered myself to be more of an upright kind of collector. However, my favorite local vac shop is sadly closing down and liquidating all the inventory. This week, I found myself becoming the caretaker of two brand new Mieles. A Marin, and a Homecare Electro+. This new foray into...

    Simplicity 7300 still going strong

I did not know that! I do have a 7700, but it sounds exactly the same as the 7300. I'll definitely have to find a 7750 or 7850 and see what the difference is.

    Simplicity 7300 still going strong

Actually According to the Simplicity website, the 7750 only has a single stage motor, whereas the 7300, 7350, and 7850 had the dual stage motor. I wonder if the single stage motor supercedes to the dual stage motor?

    Simplicity 7300 still going strong

That's interesting I wasn't aware that they made a stronger version of the dual fan 12 amp motor like what's in the 7300. The online parts catalog shows the same part number for both machines. Does your 7750 perform better?

    Calling all Tacony technicians!

Found the problem A friend pointed out to me that if the clutch lining on the brushroll is worn down so that the belt is still turning while the brushroll is jammed, it will not trip the belt protection. I can see how this could become problematic after repeated hard floor to carpet switch...

    Simplicity 7300 still going strong

I'd like to share one of my favorite lines of vacuum cleaners of all time. The Simplicity 7 Series, in this case a 7300 model from 2000. I recently took this vacuum down to the beach to give my family member's condo a thorough vacuuming while on vacation. I fully expected to find sand deeply...

    Calling all Tacony technicians!

Greetings VL, it's been a while. Hope everyone is well. In front of me, I have two Riccar Vibrances with the hall sensor and lifetime belt feature. One is a dream machine of mine that I found last year, the other is a parts machine. The problem is that the dream machine, the one that's in...
