My First 'Vacuum Video' on YouTube: Royal/Stark M570 Hand Vacuum

Different This is actually a different vacuum. I sold the one last year on eBay to a Vacuumland member so when I found this one recently at a reasonable price I scooped it up. I did some minor reconditioning such as oiling the brush roll bearings and buffing the aluminum housing and it looks...

    Electrolux Super J Bearing Question

Re-pack the Bearings If you’re bearings have rubber shields as shown above you can carefully remove them with a tiny screw driver/pry tool or a knife and clean and re-pack them with grease so long as they aren’t too far gone already. This would be a lot easier than drilling out rivets.

    Older hose repair

Liquid Rubber There is a liquid rubber product I’ve heard of people using to seal up old Electrolux woven hoses but can’t recall the name. I’m not sure how messy it would be but that would be an option to maintain the original hose.

Selling brand new in box kirby h2

I’d Guess More I’d guess it will do closer to $1,000 or even more. There can’t be that many NOS units left and Kirby is a highly collectible brand.

My eBay listing for Electrolux ‘Pulse Power’ Contour Z1450

Come On He said he’s new here. Give him a break…geesh

Selling brand new in box kirby h2

Cool! While I don’t need another Kirby (I have a basically new Avalir I’ve used less than a handful of times) that is really neat to see a machine that is almost 40 years old but never used. It will be interesting to see what it brings. My dream machine is to find a NIB Royal 4600 tank with...

Royal Prince 501- Replacement brushes no longer available? So what now?

NOS Listing on eBay This seller currently has 3 NOS brush rolls listed for sale (eBay listing No. 395970331385). They are the newer version used in the last Dirt Devil original hand vacs that weren’t painted silver and don’t have the concentric adjustable bearing housings with 1-3 settings to...

Nearly Unused 29 Year Old Royal

Believe it or not There was a NOS 994 exactly like this on eBay still in the box about a year ago. I think it only sold for around $600 which all things considered is pretty reasonable. I have bought a few NOS Royal tanks over the years (a 4600 from 1993 and a 4150 from 2001). It’s been...

Regina Duo-Vac - Value for Pristine Example?

It’s Worth What Someone Wants To Pay It seems strange they offset the hose to one side on the canister. It seems like it wouldn’t pull straight behind the power nozzle because of that. If I were you I would list it on eBay and start it out at you ideal price. If it doesn’t sell then gradually...

Royal Power Tank canister - help!

NSK I believe these had NSK 608 zz bearings in them from the factory. Of course back then they were made in the US. Now they are manufactured in Indonesia or Japan so I can’t attest to the quality of them. I did find a couple NOS USA made ones on eBay some time ago if I ever choose to or need...

Remove permanent marker stain Hoover 28

Hand sanitizer I often use hand sanitizer as well, never tried it with a highlighter first. If rubbing alcohol doesn’t work though I’m not sure the hand sanitizer would either as that is probably the main ingredient in it that removes the marker.

    Canister vac curb finds?

Electrolux Olympia One A few years ago I found a complete Electrolux Olympia One at the curb next door to my grandparents. At first when my grandpa told me about it I was just going to leave it figuring it didn’t work or was on its last leg. I decided to take it when I saw it had the power...

    Favorite vintage canisters

Royal Pony Tanks I love my Royal 4700 and 4600. They were made so well even in the late 90’s up until 2002 when they were discontinued with a lot of metal used In their construction. With 100 lbs. of water lift and the Panasonic style power nozzle used starting in 1994 these became one of the...

What vacuums do/did your parents or grandparents use?

My family I was born in ‘84 so I will only go back that far as I have no idea prior to that. My dad’s mom had an Electrolux Silverado bought from the door to door salesman around 1982. She used it for many years. Sometime in the mid to late 2000’s the power nozzle burnt up and she got a Shark...
