Questions on cleaning tile/non-carpeted flooring.....

Have you looked at the Lindhaus floor scrubbers? Probably overkill unless you have a lot of area to cover but it looks professional grade. I think it allows you to turn off the suction and just scrub which would probably help...

    Maytag 1200 Compared to Riccar/Simplicity

I think it is most comparable to the Riccar R30D and Simplicity S30D. Those models have an additional year of warranty, two tune ups and a 5 ft longer cord. I think there used to be a base R30 / S30 and the Maytag M1200 slotted between it and the deluxe model. Check here to see local...

    Maytag 1200

I bought an M1200 from Tom in June 2014. I was looking for something that cleaned well and would survive an abusive cleaning lady. I researched online and in person locally. I was unable to try one of these locally, but tried the previous version of the Simplicity Fetch. The cleaning lady...

    Restoring My First Custom Convertible

I've been using type Y HEPA bag based on this earlier post. It seemed to increase the suction. I look forward to your test with a HEPA bag. Scott http://www.vacuumland.org/cgi-bin/TD/TD-VIEWTHREAD.cgi?14287

    Electrolux Super J Bearing Question

Congratulations on your new find. I'm not an expert, but I'm pretty sure the bearings can be replaced. See the link for an old post on how to do it. Good luck! http://www.vacuumland.org/cgi-bin/TD/TD-VIEWTHREAD.cgi?4779

    A New in Box Treasure

So how does the Sanitaire team compare to your Royal team, or is that too much like picking your favorite kid? Hope your birthday was great!

    What should I buy?

You should also consider the Power Team version of the new Riccar Prima or Simplicity Wonder models. They are the same model except for color. You can select the power nozzle you want to go with the canister and there is a smaller electric power nozzle available too. It has a bag that can be...

The Designing of the Hoover Convertible...

Please see this post on the automatic washer site. I was trying to catch up on some of the posts after Christmas and discovered it was no longer available. I enjoyed the posts I got to read and appreciate all the effort. Scott...

If you could choose any upright in the world.....

I recently decided to buy an upright. After reading lots of posts and talking to Tom I decided on the Maytag M1200. I've been thrilled with its cleaning ability and convenience. The cleaning lady likes it too. Thanks Tom!
