First convention....
This was an awesome time! So glad to have met some great people and share stories about Kirby and the vacuum cleaner industry. I had only wished I could have stayed for the banquet and the closing festivities, but next year will be different!

VCCC convention
Thank you all for the information; I appreciate it. I did send the check in and it should have arrived on Tuesday at Dave's house. Looking forward to the convention and see ya guys there!
Hey everyone,
I was just curious if there was still room to register for the convention next week? I didn't think I was able to make it, but it looks like I can attend most of it. Any help would be very much appreciated.
Sincerely,
Larry
DVC Bags...
You are right Will...really appreciated how they made after market cloth bags for kirbys and many other vacuums. It's a shame, but feel that envirocare paper bags seemed to have taken over the aftermarket share of replacement paper bags.
wow...that is a lot of Kirby Stuff!!!
Just to get an idea (As I'm trying to put together plans for a van, etc.) How many kirbys are there? Any pics by any chance?
Warehouse )Kirby items)
Good afternoon,
I had seen your post about clearing out your warehouse and was curious what you had remaining of Kirby "Stuff." Let me first say, that I was sorry to hear that you are losing these spaces and that I hope it will benefit you in the future. That being...
Hey everyone,
I was curious if there was a Kirby tradition Service manual out there? I also saw a recent thread on a collection of proof books and one was for the tradition. Does anyone have these that are willing to make a copy for a given price or be willing to sell me either one? Thank you...
This looks like a derivative model of the old fashioned G.E. Swivel top canister vacuum. You can still get bags for this machine, last time I looked. Hope this helps!
LOL?!?!?!?!
I have no idea what that clicking sound is...lol. I recorded it on my new iphone, and when I played it back from the phone it was fine, but for whatever reason, it clicks on the youtube website. Your guess is as good as mine on this one.
Hi Everyone...I just wanted to post a link to an Ultimate G vacuum that I had restored and works quite well. Please also check out the youtube link to see it in action, too. (Even though the picture is a little darker) Enjoy!
Re-wiring the motor
I was told (and personally saw) a noted Kirby tech jump the safety switch with the red and yellow wires for low speed on a classic iii. It's been working fine ever since.
