First convention.... This was an awesome time! So glad to have met some great people and share stories about Kirby and the vacuum cleaner industry. I had only wished I could have stayed for the banquet and the closing festivities, but next year will be different! ~Larry

when and why did DVC go out of business?

DVC Bags... You are right Will...really appreciated how they made after market cloth bags for kirbys and many other vacuums. It's a shame, but feel that envirocare paper bags seemed to have taken over the aftermarket share of replacement paper bags.

Looking for information about this vacuum

This looks like a derivative model of the old fashioned G.E. Swivel top canister vacuum. You can still get bags for this machine, last time I looked. Hope this helps!

Minor repair of my Kirby Classic 111. The safty switch.

Re-wiring the motor I was told (and personally saw) a noted Kirby tech jump the safety switch with the red and yellow wires for low speed on a classic iii. It's been working fine ever since.

Loose kirby nozzle (Kirby Classic; 1-CB)

Hey all...I'm working on a Kirby Classic Omega and the nozzle when attached to the machine, is a little loose. Any thoughts to tightening up the nozzle? It appears that one of the "hooks" may maybe a little worn out, but not exactly sure. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
