    Regina Housekeeper Plus

Kloveland Thank you! My model has the 8.4 amp motor and 4 height adjustment positions. I'm sure there would be a suction difference with an entire amp added on too. I always like the designs for Regina's spec sheets and labels.

    Regina Housekeeper Plus

Hoover300 I’m definitely interested! I would love to work out details resulting in me buying your Housekeeper. eurekaprince- I’d love to know more about the Bissell you’re describing! I knew of Sebo engineering the first onboard hoses and tools but I always thought that it was Regina that...

    Regina Housekeeper Plus

I adore this machine! The Housekeeper is a pretty well designed despite mediocre build quality. Although these had great marketing, they also had a meaningless warranty and many returns to the big box stores they were purchased from and the Regina company itself was run by greedy executives who...

What's a vacuum you shouldn't like but really do?

My "illegal" favorite vacuum.. is my Regina Housekeeper Plus. They managed to be both innovative while also being some of the most lousily built upright vacuums in History. Mine is mint and was maybe used once before I purchased it. I really enjoy using this machine and the Regina...

    Eureka Whirlwind Self Propelled

Dysonman1 I never thought I would ever cross paths with one of these Ultra Whirlwinds! I purchased this NOS without a box. It’s in incredible shape. Thank you for that information, that’s very interesting! It’s neat to watch this cyclonic system work.

Here’s my trio of bagless Victory machines.

    Eureka Whirlwind Self Propelled

Hoover300 Right back at ya! I owned that same model at one point some years back. Since it was bagged it definitely sported more airflow. I wish I still owned it. Digging that burgundy color

    Eureka Whirlwind Self Propelled

Dysonman1 The bad reputation these have and the history is part of why I collect these! Thanks for sharing a perspective as someone in the profession. I’m a repair technician for Aerus and a collector as well so I enjoy the tedious work it takes to keep this machine looking great and functional.

    Eureka Whirlwind Self Propelled

I really enjoy using this rare beast! Maintenance of this flawed cyclonic set up is key!! It’ll always be one of my favorite Victory models. Who else enjoys Victory vacs?

Hoover WindTunnel Model 5491-900 w/DirtFinder Indicator

As for you waving your hand in front of the sensor and it responding, that's certainly vexing because that would mean the sensor is light sensitive, but it shouldn't be because the sensor is enclosed and functions in complete darkness when in use.

Hoover WindTunnel Model 5491-900 w/DirtFinder Indicator

From what I found, this feature works just like a brush indicator light on a Kirby. The dirt that passes through the system physically "strikes" the sensor. On the older Windunnels, the sensor should be right before the bag, but it's been years since I've serviced one of those. This small...

Daily driver candidate acquisition (proteam 1500xp)

Proteam vacs are very well built. They originate from the original Electrolux Lux4000, as Proteam bought the rights to the design in 2003 I believe. I daily a Lux4000 so I have an idea of what it would be like to daily a Proteam upright. If you prefer uprights in general, you'll find carpet...

    Vacuum Cleaner Diversity

thatwasherguy As far as the self-propelled, I like how it works on thinner pile carpet. At my home we have thicker shag style carpet and because the feature is limited to one rear wheel, it isn't as effective on my thicker pile carpet but it's very nice to use overall. The coolest part is...

    Vacuum Cleaner Diversity

thatwasherguy Eureka Victory style vacuums are some of my favorites as well! They're for sure stylish and the motors have a nice hum to them. I own a later model (my yellow The Boss Wide track) featured as my profile pic on here as well as a Whirlwind Self-Propelled version. Both of mine have...

    Vacuum Cleaner Diversity

Airway! I've been infatuated with that upright style for a long time. Does that model have a rotating brush? And is there a pigtail cord going to the cleaner head to power a second motor? Very interesting!
