    Tan G question

I have heard that the Tan G has a "stronger" motor than the Blue G but I have yet to see one that proves that to me. I think the suction is the same. The one difference I have found is the Tan G is just a tab bit louder than the Blue G (but not by much). That is one of Electrolux's most...

    Polishing Plastic?

Magic Eraser PLEASE be careful with the Magic Eraser. I have a Eureka power nozzle that has a textured plastic hood and I used the Magic Eraser on it. The result was "scuff marks" that are very visible. It is now ruined. I have found that using regular car CLEANER wax works best on plastic. I...

Trip To Tania's! - Canadian Lux!

Tanya certainly does have a beautiful Model G <br My question is, how in the world did she get her cat to let her vacuum it? If I tried to vacuum my siamese cat I would lose some fingers or possibly my entire arm!

    Electrolux vacuum hassock/seat chest

Green hassock... Charlie I still remember when I was little my neighbor (a single old lady) had a BEAUTIFUL Model G that she kept in a green hassock at the bottom of her stairs. That machine was pristine. She didn't use it much because she said it was too heavy and she just couldn't lift it. I...

    check this out....

Not $399! I see Rainbows like this at yards sales and the flea market, etc. all the time for under $50. It may be because Rainbow WAS and IS still a major seller in my town. They are everywhere. Kirby, Filter Queen and Aerus/Electrolux come in second. They still sell tons of those too.

    Rainbow

You may want to check around a bit more. I found one just like the one pictured, in the same condition, for $20 at a yard sale. My find was pure luck of course, but I think you can do better than $425.

    Aunt Ruth's Eureka...

Hey the next time you are there can you take a picture of her Lux 1205? I'm sure it's all original and from what it sounds like it is in great shape.

And the commercial models for that matter...I can't recall the name of them (my brain is cramping from working today).

    Electrolux Framed

I found 10 things by taking a quick glance. I love these types of things because it tests everyone's knowledge of vacuum history!! 1. White Model L is not listed. 2. Model R was not in production up until 1966. (Hence the missing White Model L). 3. Model S was not in production for 3 years. It...

    How did this happen?

One more thing.... Sorry to rant about this one, but here is another question I have. When someone notices a part on their vacuum, shampooer, etc. is broken, why do they get it fixed immediately instead of trying to "rig up" the situation. Here is something else I found while taking this same...

    How did this happen?

I am fixing a Hoover Shampooer for a nice lady I work with. When she gave it to me to take home I was shocked at how she damaged the cord and the plastic along the bottom, etc. Here is my question....When I use a shampooer I move it back and forth slowly accross the carpet to maximize it's...
