in my opinion, you really don't need to do any lube- unless something is sticking or squeeking. i'm not sure about your model but the models i've always seen had a little metal screen where you hook up the hose for the blower. but seeing as yours has the Filter Queen label...

very nice-i want to fix mine up someday but needs rebristled brush roll and a nice bag. mine a strange model plate having no serial #. maybe it was restored before and no serial # stamped after?
i made a mistake
years ago I washed a tradition bag and then put it in the dryer. never again. our white dryer was now permanently stained blue- however the bag was not faded. crazy man
