    Model LX After Filter

HEPA Bags are available now! Just go to eVacuumstore.com and pick up a few of their synthetic bags for the old Luxes. I bought some and my G and LX run like new. Plus they reduce allergies and eliminate the need for an exhaust filter.

Hoover Dustette: How to take it apart?

Hey all! I haven't posted in awhile, but I'm back! I just got a really cool old Hoover Dustette Model 100, and it doesn't run very well. It sounds extremely weak, like the brushes are worn down to nothing. I'd like to disassemble the motor and figure out what's wrong with it. Can anyone tell...

Lets See Those Plastic Base Convertibles!!!

I have but one Convertible- a lovely model U4387. Not sure on the year (anyone know?) but it is and always has been a formidable tank of an upright.

Why Kirby plastic fans are superior...

Sucking up odd things I once killed the fan on a newer Hoover Convertible by sucking up a drywall nail... The Hoover started making a horrendous racket and I thought the brush roll was to blame, until I got bored one day and decided to take the motor out. Turns out the nail shot through one of...

    KIRBY & A CAT

Haha My chihuahua-dachshund mix will have nothing to do with my vacuums. Any time I get near her while vacuuming the carpet, she tries to bite the nozzle, LOL! She's not gonna like it when the brush roll gets her!

Gorgeous Restoration!!!! Nice job! I have yet to restore a vacuum to such great shape, and I'm only 16! That hoover looks incredible! I noticed that you have a CWP brush roll installed, I've heard horror stories about those aftermarket rollers burning out the motor if you use them too long. I...

    Premier Duplex PR-20 headlight?

I figured it out The headlight cover is held in place by two screws underneath the nozzle, above the fan inlet. After some trial and error, I managed to install a bulb and got it working. I also installed a Dirt Devil Style 2 belt, which spins the brush like crazy, and now I have a formidable...

    Premier Duplex PR-20 headlight?

Tom, Thank you so much! I'm going to have to go try that now! So, when I have the screws out, how do I remove the cover?

    Premier Duplex PR-20 headlight?

Hey all! I recently bought a Premier Duplex upright off of eBay, and I was wondering how to install a bulb for the headlight. I'm pretty sure it has a headlight, anyways, it looks like there's a socket under the cowl on the front of the machine. How do I get to the socket so I can put in a light...

New BISSELL PowerGlide Pet 1305 Bagless Swivel Upright Vacuum

Very cool! I'm liking the looks of this new Bissell! I bet it'll be a pretty formidable competitor against the current bagless machines on the market! But, the cyclone setup just screams DYSON! What do you think, James? Will there be a lawsuit soon?     I've never cared for bagless...

    Sometimes crazy things happen

The DS50 Is a really fun little machine. Mine was in pretty rough shape when I bought it, but a couple hours' worth of work on the motor, and it runs pretty well now. It has started to get rough again lately, I might have to open the motor back up sometime soon.   I think you'd like one!
