What is it worth? Doing a quick check of eBays it's a fairly big range ($50-$199) for units that have actually been completed resulting in a sale.  Most of them are completed listings that haven't sold, and the seller merely relists them.     So what is considered a low-ball offer?  

Is that a replacement label? The ones I have are metal, like the vacuum in the first picture. I also have an older version that I'm going to use. It has a rounded flat lid, and the hose sticks inside the top.

I'll let you know how my experiment goes.  But I'm going to try.  I saw one Compact that was stipped and given a fairly high shine, not as good as that one, but still good (you could see swirl marks).  I have the equipment that I think I can replicate it.  It will probably take a lot of work...
