    Vintage Vacuum in the Smithsonian

I meant Murray spangler. As a child, I remember "Grace Spangler" visiting my grandmother. She was also her maid on honor. I learned, later, that she was her cousin. The Spanglers started out in Pittsburgh, pa. They relocated to Ohio. But, that's a nice model O.

The last kirby has left the building

I helped Joe kassock with his annual garage sale. I brought the red Kirby tradition. All gone. All that's left in my house, now, is an Electrolux anniversary polisher/shampooed, a box of Kirby tools, and, an ancient Westinghouse upright. Going, going, gone.

As far as canisters, I'm partial to Connie. I think the celebrities became a new version of them... flattened. Great suction. That large bag fills!!

    '80s PortaPower, pros & problems

They're great machines. They began as the "swingette", late 60s, 70s. The hose fits the Diam-a-Matics. The original motors were also in the Portables,Slimlines,DAMs. Later, they. Changed. They use a paper bag, or, can be used with their cloth bag. A must-have for regular use, or. As a collection...

I'll post more pics soon, bill. I'm currently starting to sort, pack, etc, in preparation for the "gallery," to finally get the attention it deserves. They'll all get a nice cleaning, when they're unpacked. Tom Anderson, of course. Details everything. Perfectly, as does Wil Hemb. If you've...
