    Haley's Comet-1st vintage vacuum

Do you remember her having one of those machines? It was huge, heavy, and an ugly shade of gold. I used to have one in my collection, but it made me so angry every time I used it that I wound up giving it away. I think it's awesome you are giving away the warranty card to a collector. They...

    Information on a Handy-way Sani-Clean canister vacuum?

I am still using my all-chrome Handy Way in 2025. While the Sani Clean did take the same bag and filter as the Air-Way, the two companies are not connected and never were. Handy Way was a company out of Illinois. The owner of Handy Way was a former salesman for the Air-Way Sanitizor. Air-Way...

Eureka Emperor Upright - 1967 TV Commercial

Riccar sold private labeled sewing machines. They're first private labeled vacuum cleaner was the for Vorwerk. Followed by the private labeled Panasonic jet flow. As well as a fantastic microwave oven. It wasn't until much later that Tacony got interested in Riccar. Tacony was interested in the...

    And the Mystery Continues......

The Lewyt 40 and 44 used the old style lamb motor made right after the war, up through 1955. The new style lamb motor was used from 1955 on by Eureka, Lewyt, Compact, after 1958 by Sears. They all used the same motor.

    And the Mystery Continues......

The GE was probably an 815, which would've been new at the same time as the McAllister bagless. The McAllister just used a lamb motor like the compact C – 2 or the Lewyt 44. They all had the same suction. I have all three of those machines, getting ready to go up on the block.

    Hoover 450 brushroll.

I know I have a spare brush roll that would fit your 450. I know about where in my garage I put my vintage stuff, but I would still have to spend at least an hour or two looking since there was so much stuff from the old vacuum museum that is now home. Before I look for it, I wanna make sure...

    The pumpkins have landed.

And look at those lovely carpets. They have a very interesting history, and have withheld the footsteps from many people. I was saving the pumpkin convertible for a Thanksgiving themed photo shoot. Can't use all of them for Halloween.

    The cordless stick vac formfactor

I bought, and then returned one of those new Kenmore canisters. It is a single cyclone system that clogs very quickly. The power nozzle is like pushing a huge cookbook across your rugs. I agree with you about the Titan canister. Except for the small capacity for people with pets, it does work...

    Door to door sales. Sleazy?

I'm almost as old as she was when she bought the Kirby. Just because somebody is old doesn't mean they don't appreciate the self-propelled features. And just because she didn't use the machine to its fullest capacity doesn't mean it wasn't worth the money. If you're a vacuum cleaner collector...

    Cleaning the House of Hoover!

The optional Hoover dusting tools made the model 725 a complete home cleaning system. 96 years later and it still runs like the day it came out of the factory. Thank you Stan for keeping her for me.
