I went to goodwill the other day and saw what i thought was just an early 90's dirt devil upright, too my surprise when i got it home i noticed it had a three prong cord and on the base it says its a heavy duty commerical model! it works well but i need to clean the commutator with a commutator...
Has anyone ever seen one of these? i picked this up at goodwill today for $13. i already rebuilt it and cleaned out the motor but i need to get a commutator stone to clean the commutator because its black and arcs alot. it came with all of its attachments. It was made in august of 1991.
Re: have you hit the reset button?
Thanks, but that's not the problem, the problem is the little switch that sits under the bag lip and won't let the vacuum turn on when there isn't a bag, for now if just taped it down until I get a new bag.
This vacuum is a beast!! It went under in a flood and still works perfectly fine other than the bottom plate is rusted out. What a champ!! It's actually a really quite vacuum for an upright.
