    Kirby 516 Wire Routing?

Thanks...but what I really need are instructions on how the physical wires are routed through the motor case / housing......

    Kirby 516 Wire Routing?

So....I did the classic mistake of taking it apart....and not noting how the wires are routed. Michael's YouTube videos are helpful, but he demonstrates with a pre-516. The 516 started the "case within a case"...... 1. Is the headlight harness routed outside of the main motor case now? 2...

Kirby 516 Rear Bearing - Shield?

Thank you... So it's likely that this bearing once had a shield....I should probably get a new one. Thanks.

Kirby 516 Rear Bearing - Shield?

Is it supposed to have a shield? The front says Made In USA, and then tiny numbers I can't read.... I haven't cleaned it yet, but it turns well. Other newer vacs have bearing shields?

Very nice! Great find! Do you think anyone ever complained about their hardwood floors being scratched by the lux's sled rails?

    How to assemble 515 handle....

The 515 was shipped with the handle disassembled (3 pieces: Grip, tube, and fork): The grip end goes on and tightens to the middle tube without an issue.....but getting the middle tube fastened tightly to the lower fork is giving me a headache..... Looks like there was originally a small...

Condition - brushroll Motor sounds great, fan in great shape.....but the old brushroll is very stiff turning on its axle....I removed the end caps, but can I go any further as far as disassembly? Best to just get a new one?

    Can someone identify this Kirby?

No ID / model plate on the bottom So I received it today.....all I've done so far is just take it our of the box....and discovered there's no ID plate on the bottom of the case.....kind of disappointing as I was curious if it had been rebuilt and to confirm the model number. I'll still have fun...

    Can someone identify this Kirby?

Much appreciated! You guys are amazing! Thanks so much for all the great info. I actually like the color, and I'll certainly live with it until I locate more approximate trim. I'll focus on mechanics first, and go from there. I'll post street pics... Again, thanks so much.

    Can someone identify this Kirby?

Thanks! Really enjoy your site Mr. Lester......perhaps it'll be a rebuild that someone later converted to disposable bags....I like the sani-emptor look as well.....I'll have to look around for one.....a roll of the dice as to what kind of shape it's really in...but Ill assume the worst (motor...
