Will the Electromotor 6500-298 fit in the Electrolux 1521 (Diamond Jubilee)? I need to replace the motor but wasn't sure which would be the best match.
My Aerus dealer is doing quite well. They offer good rates on repairs for all vacuums and will use the opportunity to show the customer what an Aerus can do over their battery powered vacuum. Aerus have also now made the switch to HEPA bags for all canisters. I don't think they would have done...
Interesting. I had thought by the 2000s that Nutone had ditched their proprietary inlets and were using the industry standard Canplas and Hayden inlets.
It looks like they have returned the hose swivel at the machine end as well. I'm just glad they are still being built even if they're not the best canister around. An average bagged canister is still better than the best bagless upright, or worse, stick vac.
Aerus actually sells their own HEPA bags now for all canisters that take the style C bag. Going back all the way to the Model G and maybe even prior to that.

I was at a Memorial Day BBQ this afternoon and a friend of the host told a hilarious story of his mother's infidelity. Somehow the topic of explaining to young children where babies come from came up in conversation and he chimed in with "I didn't need to learn about the birds and the bees...
I'm not so sure that there will be a new model. I can't imagine the financial health of the Kirby subsidiary is doing well. They've made the mistake of only having one product and continued with using shady distributors to sell the product. Aerus went a different path and has managed to keep...
Yeah I'd like the most powerful motor that can fit. I remember someone on here mentioning that the motor used in the Perfect/Clean Obsessed Electrolux clone had better performance than the original. Does anyone know the model of that motor?
It's making a metal on metal raspy sound rather than the classic Electrolux low humming sound. So that's why I was thinking it likely needs a new motor.
I am currently helping a friend's church get re-established under new leadership. They had a few burned out cheap Dirt Devil upgrights stashed in a supply closet and they had mentioned needing a new vacuum. I noticed that in one of the classrooms that is being used as a storage room they have...
