If Kirby rebuilt everything in original colors and parts then how come the only other Kirby rebuild on eBay has the exact same replacement parts? I talked to someone from a Kirby store who owned many machines from this era and he was very certain about the fact that it was given those parts in...
The reason I'm saying it doesn't have mismatched parts is because most Kirbys that have been rebuilt have that handle and that bag. Thats just the parts that used in the process. They're not from 1936 but they are original from the rebuild, which I stated clearly. If you're not interested then...
It obviously doesn't have mismatched parts. It's a 1C that was mistaken for a 2C. That's quite obvious. It's much more unlikely that a restoration factory have 1C parts to a 2C.
I'm starting to think that it's a 1C but when it was rebuilt they may not have been familiar with the 1C so they just stamped it as a 2C. Even though it had all the 1C parts.
That looks more like a Kirby 2R

1936 Kirby 2C with all original parts from rebuild. It still has "2C" stamped on the underside of the motor housing. Everything on this unit is up and running like the day it was rebuilt in 1966. From the motor, and the belt and brush roller, to the light. This vacuum cleaner sat in my father's...
