Does anyone have any details or pictures of the model 210? I've only seen one picture and find itinteresting because it's such a different model then the previous Lewyt and came out the same year that they went bankrupt...

Lewyt!

I have 3 of them, a model 40, 55, and 90. The 40 is the most complete of the 3. All are powerful, yet quiet. Hope to someday get the rest of the attachments and instruction books for them.

Lewyt 210

Unique vac!I think I still have at least 1.The rear half(under att holder) is the paper bag compartment with the rear being the door.Hose inlet is on top under att holder. The red knob in front turns the cord reel(& motor)to wind cord.About 1962.

Great collection, Tom and Jeff; and sharp-looking 210, Doug.

In another thread the Model 90 was briefly discussed; to prevent hi-jacking the main topic, I am posting an early ad for it here of several I located from 1956 to 1957; the model 97 seems to have succeeded it in 1958.

Also attached is a news item about Alex Lewyt and a young boy named Martin Roche for those like me who were ignorant of the origin of the Lewyt big wheels.

The Lewyt Big Wheel is by far the most maneuverable vacuum cleaner I have ever actually used to clean with. It literally turns on a dime. And, they're very quiet.

Oops - guess I should have put what models they were too:

Back row - model 77, model 88, model 90
Center row - model 90a, model 97, model 105
Front row - model 107, 111, 120

Im still missing the models 95, 115 and 121 and dont have the power nozzles for the 107 or 111

Well there's a power nozzle on eBay right now. Plus an electric hose and the electric wands.
