Who was Lawrence Electric ???

That's the same auction I saw, and I said the same thing! The name only traces back to those extension wands, I tried looking for the rest of the vacuum but I do not think it ever existed. Maybe some commercial use outfitter that supplied heavier duty wands?
 
Attached is a October 4, 1994, BRISTOL VIRGINIA-TENNESSEAN news article of Electrolux's closing of its Lawrence Industries Division.

AI states that the division had opened in 1970, the same year that the new Bristol plant began operating.
