The part number you are looking for is 44783AG, this is the same belt they use for the Guardsman (modern form of the convertible) and they work great. 49258 will work as well but most are old stock and I've had bad luck with them snapping within the first five minutes of me using them. They are available online through amazon or eBay.Does anyone know what the right belt for a Hoover 1060 convertible is? I need either the parameter or, better yet, the part number.
Thanks,

I make modern Kirby belts fit a lot of different vacuums. One of the longest lasting stretch belts and the grippiest, but too short for pretty much any clean air upright.Aftermarket belts are made with recycled rubber and are impure, they dont seem to have any flexibility and they just rip apart at the point where they are fused together. They feel like hard plastic. Non-OEM Kirby belts have the same issues. I just get old stock OEM and check the copyright on the package and make sure its old.
I use them on Samsung power nozzles, some Eureka power nozzles, some old Panasonic power nozzles ( though Eureka belts also work well ), those old 12 inch wide power nozzles sold with budget Kenmore and Panasonic canisters ( the belt is in the middle, not off to the side, Cen-Tec once sold it as the CT-12 ), and I tried one on my Miele SEB226, though it only lasted maybe 15 minutes on that power nozzle before it was smoking ! The Miele belt for the SEB226 sells for around $18 so I gave the Kirby belt a try. What the hey, huh. I am pretty sure when I refurbish this old Oreck Big Foot upright I have it will also get a Kirby belt. What machines can they be used on?
