Well my theory on the clogged bag was not true, my x4 is still difficult to push. I called Sebo and they said that it needs to go to a dealer to have the belt or board replaced. I will give an update on the solution, it should be covered under warranty on my 8 month old X4. I still highly recommend Sebo, every brand gets a few faulty models.

People say that things sometimes break, though getting rid of the thing to break removes the chance altogether.
If I am going to fork out Sebo prices I expect it to be trouble free for a couple of decades. The Gs are simple, analog and proven. The Xs have several problems, take a lot of time to figure out what height to use, sometimes they hunt, they don't adjust to go over big chunks ( cereal, pet food, leaves and dirt clods that come in on sweet doggie paws, and other debris kids and pets bring in ) but just snow plows them and sometimes they get confused and shut off. I can bend down and turn the dial on the side of the nozzle base and don't want the frustration of, cough cough, "automation".

Hi there,

When the SEBO X series starts to feel hard to push and pull, it means you just need to replace the brush roller. It will work wonderful after that. I've seen this many time. Just buy a new 5093ER brush roller and I bet the machine will work fine after this!!

I would hope that the brush roll is not worn out after 8 months of moderate use.

Yes, many favor the G. I really did not find that my X was hunting very often, and I live in a 79 year old home with uneven floors. I personally thought the X was the best vacuum that I have used. I also have different carpets in several rooms, so I don’t like to change the height in every room. I did know that some of the Xs did suffer from a bad circuit board, with a 10 year warranty I’m not concerned.
