Let @Vacuum Facts cook. I appreciate his mostly objective takes and tests too. It does help that he's merely a fanboy of INNOVATION itself.

The whole idea of a forum is to openly discuss views, opinions, scientific facts and information that is out there. Or what’s the point. Not everyone is going to agree but there is no need to make members feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. That’s the problem with the internet and social forums people can’t just move pass things they don’t agree with without making negative comments or being rude. No doubt if you heard a conversation in the street you didn’t agree with most people wall on by same should be on forums if you don’t agree! Far too much bullying and harassment on social media platforms and forum these days that can have effects on people.

Thats why I’m sure the majority of UK members from years ago don’t come on this forum and post or comment anymore as they are made to feel unwelcome by other members.

No point in this forum if you can’t share information and voice opinions and discuss like adults.

The ironic hypocrisy of the first post is just amazing though. A cookie-cutter forum assassination attempt because a few sensitive souls feel threated by the evidence-supported views of others that happen to conflict with the group-think echo chamber of a loud minority clique running rampant. Rather than talk on a platform design for that, they try to suppress any viewpoint that's different to their own by bullying, attacks, and smears. Sad really, but so reflective of the community they're representing and also the very worst of wider society. The track record of the negative impact of their behaviour is available for the world to see.

While I agree with the general sentiment that he should change his conduct if he wants to continue here, you post is not the way to accomplish that. There are plenty of legitimate issues with him that you can describe objectively without dropping to his level by slinging insults around and pointlessly attacking his nationality.

There are plenty of legitimate issues with him that you can describe objectively without dropping to his level by slinging insults around and pointlessly attacking his nationality.

I'd love to know what, that doesn't resolve down to "his opinion isn't the same as mine, therefore <hate>" on subjective matters, and "He points out facts that conflict with my wonky worldview. I've no defense, don't like the facts, and so the only thing I can do is be 'offended' and hate instead". Those are literally the only two responses I've seen from my haters. They act as though I seek them out and insult and continuously harrass them personally for liking machine X, when I've never done anything of the sort. What actually happens is that I notice a bunch of misleading falsehoods, so I go and investigate what's actually true, and when I inevitably reveal the warts on machine X that were kept hidden, they get personally offended. Just look out for it, it's amazing. They think an attack on a given product is the same as an attack on them personally because they like it. It's a bizarre, warped psychology that's well understood and seen in many other circles of society. I'm hating on the V16 at the moment in exactly the same way, but apparently my haters didn't notice that, naturally, since it deeply conflicts with the propaganda that I'm a Dyson fanboy. Oops! Ultimately, I've no time for fact deniers or free-speech haters.

I don't know why you would bother to pretend that you aren't intentionally making personal attacks left and right. You hide your profile in an attempt to make the patterns of your behavior less obvious, but that's not a very effective method on a forum this small.

Yup. I actually don't really care about them that much. I like some of the tech I've learned about in them. But my origin was simply the falsehoods and terrible, bizarrely tribal behaviour (that we're seeing here) from a small but unfriendly clique that I enjoyed correcting. The rest is history. In a way, I was created by the very people that hate me. The irony. If only there'd been honesty, accuracy, and politeness, I wouldn't have noticed anything was off and would have carried right on by.

It shows in the forum for the reported posts and I'll see more quickly that something buried in a forum.
