Hello,
I remember seeing an ad for a little water filter canister vacuum called the H20 Pro. I was wondering if they are still being manufactured. Does anyone own one? It seems like a neat idea to make a budget rainbow.
Thank you.

Hmm...I'm not seeing a canister machine called an H20 pro, this doesn't mean it doesn't exist of course it may just be obscure. I do recall the H20 vac and the H20 vac turbo. They were both water filtration canisters which were a baffle type system. I had one of the turbos back in my late teen years.

I found one of these at a thrift store two years ago,, took it home, cleaned it up and tried it out. Being a lover of water filtration vacuums, this was one model I had never seen nor owned. It definitely is a “budget Rainbow” but in the worst way. It uses a baffle type filtration system, and my real issue with this is the volume of water it holds….you fill up the slide out water container just a few cups of water…..barely enough to clean anything with. Using this, you would literally have to dump and refill every few minutes, as just using the vacuum to pick up some mess in my hobby room, there was not enough water left to create the typical “Rainbow Soup” it was mostly “mud”.

In concept it was a decent design and idea, the model I had was red plastic with black bottom, had three castors, and was made very poorly. It did have a two speed motor, which was surprising for this price range.

The other part I really disliked was the poor quality of the hose and attachments……very cheap and brittle….this particular model was donated due to the plastic handle with suction valve, cracking to the point it broke off…..

This was a straight suction setup, with a Turbo nozzle, no electric powernozzle capability. And had the standard small attachment kits that you see on sub $100 models that are sold in box stores.

I ended up replacing the worn parts, and sold it on eBay. In my opinion, it was nothing special, and would totally stick with Rainbow…..a used Rainbow would last far longer than this model. New H2O‘s were going for over $200 for this setup, which was far overpriced for what you get. These were sold on TV and advertised as „As seen on TV“

I did find the owners manual, and downloaded it…..so let me know if you want me to upload it here for you to look at, to help with your decision to buy one.

Thanks,

Brian
