Were kind of strange, they had the one pictured, then the all plastic/bakelite model, then the one stoke, which was a ultra modern design, then they went back to the earlier style?????

Then there was the Westinghouse Convert-A-Vac which I don't have and don't have any photos of. When I was a little boy a lady in my dad's church had one. I thought it was the ugliest and stupidest sweeper I'd ever seen -- at the tender age of 10! She also had an old Kenmore streamlined upright, not the Commander but one in two-tone brown, metal and bakelite housing and a dark brown . She kept it in a broom closet in her kitchen. Whenever we went over there, I always wanted to see it, and use it! But she wouldn't let me because I guess I must have hurt her feelings telling her what I thought about her Convert-A-Vac!
