Good evening everyone! I gave my old Electrolux XXX a tune up tonight and I'm thinking that it's motor could stand a rebuild. So far I have been able to locate the carbon brushes, front and rear bearings, but I cannot find a replacement armature anywhere! Hesco is out, along with several other popular parts suppliers......any suggestions? Thanks!

It will probably work for a while, but I noticed a decent amount of sparking from the brushes, and the commutator looks pretty worn down. I haven't dug any deeper into it, but since I plan to make a daily driver out of it in a 3000+ Sq foot house I'd rather be safe than sorry!

Go to a local motor rebuild place. They can replace the commutator, or if its not that bad, just grind it down so that it is nice and flat and doesnt have the grooves in it. If you dont have a local motor repair place, I know a really good place. If you ship it to me, Ican get a price to rebuild it.
