It doesn't need to include hose or attachments, although that would be a major plus. As many of you here know, many XXX's were built with the 535-watt motor, and many were upgraded to that motor. Having the original motor in good working condition is a must. Also having a usable bag is a plus. The handle needs to be in good usable condition, but doesn't need to be mint.

I grew up with an early postwar XXX with the 475-watt motor, so this model is near and dear to my heart. Thanks for any consideration. You may email me at the address in my profile.

I’ve have one in my collection for about 40 years. I realize these machines are going for big bucks and would be happy to sell mine. Complete, original hose that is sealed, plus all the extras. Even the rubber around the dust and brush is perfect. I even have the book, Suction control device, oval drapery nozzle with Bakelite bottom, and the optional wall brush. Even the prongs on the cord are unbent. I even have the metal storage rack.

Servicing & working with model 30 Electrolux cleaners.

The 475 watt 1/2 horsepower motor was fitted inside the first model 30 which came out in 1937.This model continued to be fitted with the .50 motor & fan unit until 1942 when Electrolux went into war time production manufacturing for the War Department motors to turn the Pom Pom guns on Navy ships etcetera . The company still supplied motor & fan units as replacement part during the war but with bakelite motor frames instead of aluminum. Limited supply only. My Godmother's XXX had the plastic motor @475 watts.(She is still living at 100!!) The 535 watt motor was fitted into machines from 1946 to 1954. This motor is approx. 6amps & has a maximum suction 50 " water lift (static vacuum NOT cfm.) The first model XXX did not have the French door style exhaust deflector (Louvered Doors) but had a spring loaded one piece grill that looks like a floor drain. Finally the 475 watt machine had a different rug nozzle than the 535 watt cleaner.
