The Lincoln was a private labeled Royal Super. There were many names of cars used for vacuum cleaners: Cadillac, Lincoln, Packard, Ford. All private labels. None were made by the car companies. General Motors DID make a vacuum cleaner, but they also made washing machines, dishwashers, Frigidaire, etc.

Guess who won the auction?
Last night I decided to make a low bid. I didn't think I'd have time to check on the auction in real time, but it seems like it started late, so I did. And I saw a bunch of knick knacks going for high prices (like a pocket knife for $200) so I figured there wasn't any point in checking any more.
But I checked later, and apparently I was the ONLY bidder, at $25.
Heh heh...

Quick question I learned to solder better. 2 questions what do I clean off old electrical wires from coils with. Second heat shrink is there any one better than the rest. I have a bag of 31 colors all about an inch long.

Les, do you mean cleaning old wires in preparation for soldering? Well if they haven't been soldered already, I'd say just use a small steel wire brush and brush the end of the wire to be soldered. If you mean the magnet wire from the coil, the wax can be taken off by scraping with a razor blade. If the wire already has old solder on it, you don't need to do anything as long as you solder with flux.
For heat shrink any old crap is fine, but I hate those pre cut ones, they are always too short for me. They sell heat shrink by the foot.
