Considering that Whirlpool had just taken over, shook up, and was probably about to close the Fullerton Avenue facility, not really surprised that the machine would be slapped together by disgruntled/about to be jobless employees. I know that you have said that Whirlypoop shut them down after running a supply of parts, but if this ran as late as 1962-3??, did they just move the tooling to a corner of a WP facility and still slam them out for Sears in Roe's butt, or was the factory around longer than thought?
Also, what year exactly did Singer start making thier upright. I want to say 1964, but I've been told it was later.
Whoever gets this will end up with the last of the PREEEN sounding uprights.
