Worn bristles on decent quality bare floor tool

Hello, everyone,

I haven't been active in the Vacuumland forum lately but recently, there's a concern that I would like to share with you.

Around a year ago, I bought the Wessel Werk bare floor tool modeled D 300 for the Numatic James at my workplace and then, recently, I noticed something. Look at the bristles.

It seems to me that at the time that I bought this item and used it for the 1st time, the brushstrip had a castle-cut pattern. And now, that pattern is not as well pronounced and I can't find any stores where I can get the bristles replaced.

I did think that this model of bare floor head was decent and I also praised the swivel-neck feature, but the designers could have made the brushstrips replaceable in case if they get worn or damaged. Shame on the company for making the nozzle disposable

So do any of you know which bare floor tool should I get to replace the one in this picture?

Suggestion

For more versatility I suggest getting a used Electrolux combination rug and floor tool. They are very durable…the bristles last a long time and are replaceable…and you get the convenience of being able to remove the head from the elbow, flip it over, reattach and now you can use the other side for any rugs, chairs or other soft surfaces. The head unattaches from the elbow with two durable squeeze buttons on either side of the elbow. They’re is a full bumper that wraps the entire tool on all but the very first version so most any of the used ones you will find on eBay will have the bumper. Honestly it’s my favorite non powered floor attachment. The elbow attaches to standard 1 1/4 wands without a locking button. The elbow includes a fastening system so it will stay affixed to any 1 1/4 wands.

Flippy floor tools...

Yeah, I love those 'flippy floor tools' as well. They evolved a bit over time, introducing increasing amounts of plastic into the design. The teal ones that came with both of my 1205s are almost completely metal while the one that came with my Silverado Deluxe has a plastic elbow and I have an even newer one that has a plastic head. The design changed so little that the plastic elbows will fit the metal heads and vice versa. In my experience, the newer, mostly plastic heads are of equivalent quality to the metal ones but the plastic elbows are somewhat flimsier where they attach to the head, I have one that came to me with a big chunk missing and I repaired it by cutting a piece of an old, expired credit card super gluing it to the inside where it did not affect the outer dimensions and functionality was not affected.
